FA Safeguarding in Youth Football
Posted by Andy Kelly on 1 December 2017
The FA have recently issued an update on the above topic - a lot of work has gone into this area after the spate of allegations of non-recent abuse
Some headlines from the work completed so far are below
· Implement preventative safeguarding measures and create fun, safe football environments;
· Make the reporting of concerns as easy as possible;
· Ensure safeguarding and child protection concerns are investigated swiftly and thoroughly in conjunction with statutory agencies – and with demonstrable outcomes
As a club we would always take serously any concern that might be raised - either from you as parents and as importantly directly from the children - and would follow Codes of Conduct that are in line with FA requirements
The club also has a Welfare Officer who is there for you to raise any concerns or as point of contact if you have a general question in this area - our Welfare Officer is Keith Nash who as well is the Coach of the U11 Blues - Keith can always be found at training on Saturdays at Thomas Knyvett.
Please take some time to read the update below and do come back to us with any questions
